Five smartphone apps that will guide pilgrims
The Ministry of Religious
Affairs has introduced five smartphone applications (Apps) to facilitate
pilgrims, seeking maximum information for Hajj 2019.
The five mobile-phone applications
are named as ‘Hajj Mua’wan’, ‘Rehnumai-e-Hajj’, ‘Mina Locator’, ‘Pak Hajj
Guide’, and ‘Hajj Complaints’.
This was stated by the media head,
Ministry of Religious Affairs, Imran Siddique, during a media awareness
workshop, here on Monday.
He said that the fortunate intending
pilgrims could download the apps which provide Hajj-related dua’en (prayers)
and other important information about ‘manasak-e-Hajj’.
He said the apps were very important
as they contain documentaries on Hajj performance process. These are complete
guidelines to facilitate the intending pilgrims, he added.
Mentioning utility of the apps, he
said that Mina Locator app would facilitate pilgrims in case they lose their
camp or any other related place. He shared whatsapp cell number 0302-3332555
for immediate contact with the religious affairs ministry. Any query of a
pilgrim would be responded.
The ministry official also urged the
media to play its role in creating awareness among intending pilgrims and
keeping in touch with the ministry to improve its services.
Chief Whip National Assembly Malik
Aamir Dogar said on the occasion that the incumbent government was taking every
possible step to improve service delivery.
He also appreciated performance of
the Ministry of Religious Affairs. He also urged the media to project these
developments in an amicable way so that maximum people could benefit from it.
Dogar said that the PTI government
introduced a transparent Hajj policy as not even a single person challenged it
in the court.
