Pilgrim’s Biometric: Kaduna Introduce New Measures

The Kaduna
State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare boards has introduced new measure to instill
orderliness in the process of capturing the biometric data of its hajj 2019
intending pilgrims.
The Head of
Operation of the boards, Alh Sani Dalhatu Musa told Hajj Reporters during the
commencement of this year biometric registration of pilgrims on Monday at the boards
headquarter in Katsina road in Kaduna.
According to
him “The boards invites pilgrims on local government basis and according to
their registration profiles. this is meant to avoid any lost of passport and
confusion. Just like we did last year, the process is strictly first come –
first serve”.
“As pilgrims arrived the venue of biometric data capture, he or she is received and register and assign a number by two officials of thee board; and there after escorted to neatly arranged chair under canopy to take his seat.
Immediately, another staff of the board will welcome the pilgrims and seated him or her according to the arrival numbers. As the registration progresses, one after the other kind of a queue is formed with two pilgrims conducting their registration at a time inside the boards computer room.
Before the arrival of pilgrims, the officer in charge of the local government will sort their international passport under the eagle eye of the Head of Operation to avoid misplacement of the vital documents.
The Head of Operation further disclosed that “over 600 pilgrims from Kaduna
south, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, Chikun and Kajuru has so far been captured in two
days, while Kaduna north and Soba are expected to have their turn today, Friday.
